Admission for Energy Engineering is every second year. Next admission is in 2019.
The purpose of the education i to To provide students with a general knowledge in natural sciences with special focus on energyand environmental engineering, providing the students with a solid basis for further related studies at master level.
30 ECTS worth of elective courses, giving the opportunity for individual specialisation within energy- and environmental engineering. The programme takes examples from the Faroese community when dealing with energy and environmental topics. All of the semesters in the education, except for the 5th semester, are provided locally by the University of the Faroe Islands.
The 5th semester is intended to be composed of courses from other universities.
Subject specific learning:
An upper secondary diploma with the following subjects and minimum averages is required:
Physics B-level, with a minimum average of 6 on the Marking Scale of 00 to 13 is required.
Mathematics A-level, with a minimum average of 6 on the Marking Scale of 00 to 13 is required.
Chemistry C-level, with a minimum average of 6 on the Marking Scale of 00 to 13 is required.
The faculty may decide to apply other equivalent requirements based on case-by-case assessments.
The averages mentioned are all calculated based on both exam results and annual marks for oral and written performance.

Positions at the bachelor level in public and private entities like renewable energy consultancies, energy directorate, power companies, environmental agencies or starting new jobs within the industry.
Master programmes in interdisciplinary programs related to energy- and environment engineering. As an example the BSc students are accepted on the following master programmes at DTU: 'Wind energy', 'Sustainable energy', 'Environmental engineering' and ' Earth and Space Physics and Engineering'.
