Entry Requirements and application

An upper secondary diploma with B-level or A-level Mathematics with a minimum average of 6 on the Marking Scale of 00 to 13 is required. This corresponds to 4 on B level or at least 02 on the Marking Scale of -3 to 12

The average is calculated based on both exam results and annual marks for oral and written performance.

The faculty may decide to apply equivalent criteria based on case-by-case assessments.

Entry Requirements for Energy Engineering

An upper secondary diploma with the following subjects and minimum averages is required:

Physics B-level, with a minimum average of 6 on the Marking Scale of 00 to 13 is required.

Mathematics B-level, with a minimum average of 6 on the Marking Scale of 00 to 13 is required.

Chemistry B-level, with a minimum average of 6 on the Marking Scale of 00 to 13 is required.

The faculty may decide to apply other equivalent requirements based on case-by-case assessments.

An upper secondary diploma with the following subjects and minimum averages is required:

Mathematics A-level, with a minimum average of 8 on the Marking Scale of 00 to 13 is required.
Physics B-level, with a minimum average of 6 on the Marking Scale of 00 to 13 is required.
Chemistry C-level, with a minimum average of 6 on the Marking Scale of 00 to 13 is required.
Or that you have passed the engineer training with an average of 9.0 or higher on the Marking Scale of 00 to 13 is required

Entry and application deadline 2016

Application deadline
The application deadline for studies at the University of the Faroe Islands is 1 July 2016. All applicants will receive a reply no later than on Wednesday 20 July 2016. The deadline for successful applicants to confirm their offer is on Friday 5 August 2016.

The start of the semester at the Faculty of Science and Technology is mid August 2016.
